Bold Journey Magazine: Meet Jordyn Jackson

When Bold Journey Magazine reached out to interview me, I took advantage of the opportunity to inspire other young change-makers. In this article, I shared the origin of Soaring Samaritans Youth Movement and SOAR Jewels. I provided advice to those who want to become community and business leaders at a young age and explained the importance of developing a growth mindset. Three pillars that have consistently led me to the path of success are .

San Fernando Valley Business Journal Women’s Leadership Symposium 2023 Award Nominee – Jordyn Belle Gaitan Jackson

I am honored to be the youngest nominee in the history of the San Fernando Valley Business Journal Women’s Leadership Symposium Award. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of women, executives and entrepreneurs in the San Fernando Valley. As a young businesswoman, I am humbled to be included in this list. Teaching lifelong entrepreneurship skills to youth in underserved communities is one of the most valuable contributions that I can make to the community. .

Marshall Women’s Leadership Board Newsletter

At the beginning of the school year I found the Marshall Women’s Leadership Board (MWLB), a selective all-female club through USC’s Marshall School of Business focused on female empowerment, equity in business, and enhancing member’s networking, leadership, and professional skills.  Over the last few months of being a part of the MWLB, I have made lifelong friends and found a supportive group of women who inspire me to pursue my goals in business. Istituto Provinciale per I’Infanzia in Italy

We had a moving day at Istituto Provinciale per I'Infanzia, a foster home in Italy. The language barrier is always an element we figure out how to overcome. We work as a team within our means. We brought supplies for making SOAR bracelets, BizSense 4 Kids items, clothes, books, and of course soccer balls. The kids went crazy with excitement once they understood what we were going to do with them. To watch the .

Soaring Samaritans Youth Movement’s Tiny Home

With the help of our community and SOAR Jewels sales, we were able to raise over $3,000 to sponsor a Hope of the Valley Tiny Home. Our Tiny Home cabin provides shelter, meals, mental health, and transitional services to those who are experiencing homelessness. Each 64 sq. ft. home has two beds and is equipped with air-conditioning, windows, a desk and a front door. This is a cause close to our hearts and we .

San Fernando Valley Business Journal Womens Leadership Awards 2022

I am so honored to have been named a finalist for the San Fernando Valley Business Journal Women's Leadership Awards. I was the only 18-year-old to be recognized and I am humbled as this can inspire other young girls to make a difference even if they feel they are not old enough. I cannot wait to meet the other women nominated and learn how to open opportunities for women to take on leadership roles, .

Zoological and Wildlife Rehabilitation Facility

Organizations that touch our hearts around the world range from human causes to animal rights. We felt the importance to help this zoological and wildlife rehabilitation center as we received a request for food, and aid to help the animals with their various challenges and conditions. Our support furthers their cause to rescue animals experiencing lifelong health issues with the medication and treatment needed. Due to COVID, interactions with outside helpers were limited. However, .

House of Peace Ministry – Miami Beach, Florida

We visited one of the largest Hispanic Christian Churches in the United States, House of Peace Ministry which felt extra special as nearly 20,000 people gathered for Easter Sunday. We marveled at the melting pot of people the church attracts and helps. Visiting this church reminded us how grateful we feel to have a global impact empowering marginalized voices. We are especially thankful to give back to those of our Hispanic background.

The Quarantine Inspires Some of the Youngest Members of Our Community to Give Back – Ventura Blvd. Magazine – Oct. 2020

Another uplifting kid-driven organization is the Soaring Samaritans Youth Movement, created seven years ago by sisters Taylor and Jordyn Jackson, 17 and 11, respectively, of Tarzana. “As avid soccer players, we really wanted to share the joy of soccer, says Taylor. “We discovered a company called One World Play,” Jordyn adds, “which donates indestructible soccer balls that don’t need a pump for 20 years.” Through donations as well as raising money from handmade jewelry, .
